We were asked to create a flower-inspired group dance for a ballet. The only requirement was to have large flower headpieces. We decided to incorporate a number of different flowers into one costume.
The headpiece (seen above clipped onto the shoulder) was based on a dahlia flower. The garland was made to look like roses. The upper skirt had six petals shaped like a lily. The bottom skirt was inspired by a carnation’s petals with their many folds and layers.
